Course Description
PMI PMP® Certification Course
Project Management Professional (PMP)® is a credential offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI)®. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMP® demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competency to lead and direct projects.
This certification increases your marketability to employers and potentially at a higher salary; according to the PMI® Project Management Salary Survey
The PMP® designation shows your current (and potential) employers that you have a mastery of project work and a good grasp of project management concepts and standards. Some of the reasons why it is important to obtain the PMP® certification:
- Shows your commitment to the project management profession. When you earn a PMP® Certification, you show peers, supervisors and clients your commitment to the go extra mile and contribute to the team’s success
- Recognizes your strategic, leadership and technical knowledge, skills and serves as an endorsement of your understanding of project management
- Reflects achievement, showing that you have demonstrated excellence in the field by meeting standard requirements established by global project management practitioners.
- Leads you to better career opportunities and advancement by identifying you as a practitioner who has demonstrated competency, experience and knowledge in project management processes based on industry standards.
- Prepares you for greater job responsibilities indicating your willingness to invest in professional development to maintain an awareness of changing processes and terminology in the field of project management.
This intensive certification preparation course includes comprehensive verbal and written lecture materials as well as exercises and quizzes. There is also a section on how to answer multiple choice exam questions. This gives the participant a distinct advantage to answering very difficult questions correctly and increases your probably of passing the exam the first time.
This course has been recently updated to include those new areas of importance, including the additional knowledge and skills in the areas of Strategic Alignment, Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned, as identified in the Project Management Profession (PMP®) Examination Content Outline, dated June 2015.
This course is based on how a project is actually performed, from Initiating through Closing, unlike most PMP® prep courses that are taught by the various Knowledge Areas. We believe that this is a better approach to learning and preparing for the exam.
